Local Executive Board Opening & Chief OHS&E Rep For Org 12
Nominations have been opened for the position of Guide on the CAW 2301 Executive Board.
Nominations have also been opened for the position of Chief OHS&E Rep for Org 12.
In order to be eligible to run for this position you must be an OHS&E Rep in Org 12.
To be eligible to vote for this position you must be a member live filed to Org 12.
There are openings for three (3) positions on the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Committee.
If you are interested in being on this Committee please send a written expression of your interest to the Union Hall.

The Union All Committee Night has been changed.
It will now be held on the Third Thursday of every month beginning February 21, 2013.
All Committee Night will start at 6:00 pm, prior to the Council Meeting.

The CAW National Union and CAW Council annually offer a total of 25 bursaries for $2,000.00 each.
The bursaries are awarded to sons/daughters of CAW members in good standing entering their first year of full-time post secondary education.
Application forms for these bursaries can be picked up at the Union hall.

The purpose of this bulletin is to request information from you the members in regards to our negotiated benefits (i.e. Pension Reports and Blue Cross).

Annual Plant Gate Collection For Christmas Hamper Fund
On Wednesday, December 12th and Thursday, December 13th, CAW Local 2301 volunteers will once again be at the plant gates for the annual Christmas hamper drive.
Monies collected are donated to the Kitimat Help Agency, which purchases food hampers for the needy families of our community.
There will be a full schedule of courses being offered at Port Elgin this spring including:
- Women’s Programs
- Aboriginal & Workers of Colour Program
- One-week PEL Programs (a variety of choices)
- Four-week PEL Program
Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Union Hall before the deadline:

Scheduled for Saturday, December 8th & 15th
Doors open at 6:00 pm - Dinner at 7:00 pm
Tickets are $25 each and will go on sale starting Monday, November 19th at the CAW Hall.
